Industry news and Updates
1) X in Danger ? ❌
OpenAI is quietly working on a new social media platform to rival X (formerly Twitter). Still in early stages, it’s expected to blend real-time conversation with AI features like image generation from ChatGPT. The goal? A fresh, user-friendly space that feels more human—and helps OpenAI gather better data to train its models.
2)Sim Card in 10 minutes? 🚚
Airtel has teamed up with Blinkit to make getting a SIM card as easy as ordering groceries. Now, users in select cities can get a new Airtel SIM delivered to their doorstep in minutes—no store visits, no waiting. It’s a smart, super convenient move that brings mobile connectivity straight to your couch.
3)Ananya Pandey makes history 💀
Ananya Panday just made history as the first Indian brand ambassador for Chanel! The luxury fashion house picked her to represent their timeless elegance, and honestly, it’s a major moment—for her and for Indian representation in global fashion. From Bollywood to Paris, she’s clearly leveling up in style.
Marketing Term of the week - TAM
Alright, imagine you have a really cool new app, and you want to know how big the potential for your app is in the market. Total Addressable Market (TAM) is like looking at the entire group of people who might want to use your app. It’s the biggest number you can think of, showing how much money could be made if everyone who could possibly use your app actually did.
For example, if you made a fitness app, your TAM would include everyone who works out or is interested in working out, globally. So, you’d figure out how many people there are, then multiply that by the amount of money each person could spend on the app. That’s your TAM.
In short, TAM is the maximum size of the opportunity in front of you if you were able to capture the attention and spending of everyone in that market.
Marketing Strategy of the week
This Budweiser ad is encouraging people to drink responsibly. It says "Hydrate between Buds. Drink Wiser."—basically suggesting that if you're drinking beer (Budweiser), you should drink water in between to stay hydrated and make smarter choices. It's a clever play on words with “Buds” referring to both the beer and your friends. Simple message: enjoy your drinks, but be smart and take care of yourself.
Marketing Question of the week

A) Your business is worth $10 billion
B) The total possible market for your product is $10 billion
